Join us for an exceptional evening celebrating Hyde de Villaine, one of Napa Valley’s most historically significant and quietly influential wineries. Founded through a remarkable partnership between the Hyde family and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Hyde de Villaine represents a rare and authentic bridge between Old World Burgundy and New World California.

The connection to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti — widely regarded as the most extraordinary and sought-after wine in the world — is not symbolic, but foundational. At DRC, greatness is driven by absolute respect for terroir, meticulous vineyard work, and minimal intervention. These same principles guide Hyde de Villaine in Napa Valley, where the focus is on balance, precision, and longevity rather than power.

The evening will be guided by Guillaume Boudet, Associate Winemaker at Hyde de Villaine, who will be in attendance to share firsthand insight into the estate’s vineyards, vintages, and winemaking approach. Guillaume joined Hyde de Villaine as a harvest intern in 2013 and was promoted to Associate Winemaker in 2015. He works closely with Larry and Chris Hyde on all vineyard matters and reports directly to Aubert de Villaine on winemaking decisions.

The Highlight: A Vertical of Californio SyrahGuests will enjoy a rare vertical tasting of Californio, Hyde de Villaine’s iconic Syrah. It stands as a benchmark for Californian Syrah — shaped by Old World discipline, Napa Valley fruit, and the same reverence for site that defines the great wines of Romanée-Conti. Held in our beautifully appointed dining room, with warm wood-paneled walls, candlelight, and an intimate atmosphere, this promises to be an evening of depth, discovery, and meaningful conversation around some of California’s most compelling wines.
